Help & FAQ

Common questions about getting started, caregiver setup, logging, and your account. Can't find it? Email us.

Getting Started

Download Xoul from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and tap "Create account". You'll need an email address. After confirming your email, you'll set up your household — give it a name and add your baby's first name and approximate age. That's it.
Sleep windows need at least 3–4 days of consistent sleep logging to generate useful estimates. After that, they update each time a new sleep entry is added. If logging has gaps, the estimates may be less reliable — Xoul will tell you when there's insufficient data to generate a window.
Yes — you can log entries offline. They'll sync to the shared household log when you reconnect. Other caregivers won't see those entries until you're back online, so if you're handing off from no-signal territory, a quick verbal note helps.

Caregiver Setup

Go to Settings → Household → Invite Caregiver. You'll get a share link you can send via text, email, or any messaging app. The invited caregiver needs to create their own Xoul account (or sign in if they have one). Once they accept, they're in your shared log immediately.
No — the free tier supports up to 2 caregivers. If you want to add a grandparent, nanny, or co-parent, you'll need the Household tier ($5.99/month or $49.99/year). The 14-day free trial gives full access to the 6-caregiver limit, no credit card required.
Yes. The primary account holder can remove any caregiver at any time from Settings → Household → Manage Caregivers. Access ends immediately. The removed person's historical log entries stay in your shared log — you keep the record of what happened during their time with your baby. The removed caregiver can no longer view or add to your household log.
Yes. Each log entry is attributed to the caregiver who created it and timestamped independently. Two caregivers can log simultaneously without conflict. If you both accidentally log the same feed, you'll see two attributed entries in the timeline — you can delete the duplicate. Offline entries sync and merge correctly when both caregivers reconnect.

Logging

Yes. Tap any entry in the timeline to edit or delete it. Changes are synced immediately to all caregivers. The log shows who made the edit and when, so the record stays accurate.
You can backfill entries with a manual time stamp. When you tap "Log feed" (or sleep, diaper), there's an option to set a custom time instead of "now". Backfilled entries are marked as manually backdated in the timeline.

Account & Data

Log export (PDF) is available on the Household tier. Go to Settings → Export → Select date range → PDF. The export is formatted for readability — useful for a pediatrician appointment. We're working on a CSV export for those who want raw data.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated household data. The deletion is immediate and irreversible. If you are the primary account holder, deleting your account also deletes the household — other caregivers will lose access. You can also request deletion by emailing [email protected].
